Job summary

Fathom Mfg in Hartland, WI seeks a finishing technician responsible for assembling products and finishing them through priming, lamination, gluing, sanding, trimming, and related processes. The role rotates among tasks within the assembly team to cover multiple steps.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs and operate hand tools. Benefits include health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools and other equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Willingness to be flexible and apply new programs and technology.

Responsibilities

• Installs brass inserts in rapid prototype, fiberglass and injection molded parts
• Trims rapid prototype, fiberglass and injection molded parts
• Assembles rapid prototype, fiberglass and injection molded parts
• Prepares parts for painting by sanding and sandblasting and filling with epoxy and polyester fillers
• Use of air grinding and sanding tools
• Use of saws and cutoff tools
• Visually inspects parts for defects
• Stamps and labels parts
• Monitors inventory levels for production parts and BOM hardware, requests Purchase Orders and alerts supervisor when levels are low
• Conducts Inventory counts
