Job summary

Ascentec Engineering, LLC is seeking a Dev NPI Prototype Machinist I/II in Tualatin, Oregon, to support CNC machining operations for prototype and Low-Volume/High-Mix parts. The position requires skills in machine operation, set‑ups, inspections, and collaboration across engineering and production teams.

Qualified candidates will have 2–4 years of CNC precision machining experience and proficiency in SolidWorks and MasterCam. Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $28 to $40 and benefits including medical insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) retirement plan are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of CNC precision machining experience or completion of a machining/technical program.
• Familiarity with CNC tools using Haas, Fanuc, and Okuma controls.
• Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CNC machine setup and operation for prototype parts.
• Run complex part geometries to specification using established programs.
• Perform in-process inspection using standard metrology tools.
