Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is hiring a Lead Proton Radiation Therapist in Fairfax, VA. This full-time, day-shift role coordinates simulations and treatments, ensures proper operation of CT and linear accelerators, and collaborates with the healthcare team.

The ideal candidate has a licensed ARRT in Radiation Therapy, BLS certification, and at least 3 years of experience in Radiation Therapy, with preference for proton therapy background.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree and AMA/JCERT approved Radiation Therapy program.
• Experience: 3 years of Radiation Therapy experience.
• Certification: BLS from AHA and ARRT Radiation Therapy certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees team in assigned area, ensures key deliverables and quality standards, and assists in scheduling.
• Demonstrates treatment modalities and protocols to set up and administer radiation treatments daily.
• Prepares immobilization devices and captures measurements for dosimetry planning.
• Marks appropriate anatomy for daily repositioning on linear accelerator; records treatment parameters.
