Job summary

Ferco Aerospace Group is seeking a precise Proto Trak Operator for our Franklin, OH facility. You will set up and operate Proto Trak lathes and mills, fabricate and modify parts, and follow blueprints to assure compliance with specifications.

We value accuracy, teamwork, and reliability; a High School Diploma or GED is required, and manual machinist experience is preferred. Eligible candidates must be U.S. persons due to export-controlled technology.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and modify parts, applying knowledge of mechanics, math, metals, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Set up and operate Proto Trak lathes and mills.
  • Determine tasks needed to complete machined products.
  • Perform machining operations such as turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts.
  • Build product acceptance tooling and gauges.
  • Follow routers and blueprints to determine machining requirements, including sequence of operations, tooling, feeds, speeds.
  • Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Demonstrate multitasking, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; manual machinist experience preferred.

Ferco Tech is seeking a skilled Proto Trak Operator with a strong focus on precision and craftsmanship. This role emphasizes high standards, accuracy, and efficiency in machining, including work with exotic materials. Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Set up and operate Proto Trak lathes and mills.
  • Determine tasks needed to complete machined products.
  • Perform machining operations such as turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts.
  • Build product acceptance tooling and gauges.
  • Follow job routers and blueprints to determine machining requirements, including sequence of operations, required tooling, feeds, speeds, etc.
  • Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and maintain a strong work ethic; willingness to learn.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; manual machinist experience preferred.
Position Demands
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods daily.
  • Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc.
  • Able to successfully pass vision screens.
  • Extended hours may be required during peak workloads or special projects.
  • Perform repetitious duties, such as hammering a part to specification.
Schedule
  • Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; overtime possible daily and Fridays
  • Monday – Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am; overtime possible daily and Sundays
Eligibility Requirements
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under immigration law) due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
