Job summary

Integrated Proteins Kansas City, KS is hiring a Plant Production Technician to support protein meal production for dry pet foods. Responsibilities include sampling, unloading, loading, equipment checks, and routine QA paperwork in a fast-paced facility.

Shifts available 2nd and 3rd. Must lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in hot or cold environments. Excellent attention to safety and GMP procedures required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from waist to crown occasionally.
• Ability to shovel up to 50 pounds of animal protein and toss it ~3 feet.
• Ability to climb ladders and walk stairs repeatedly.
• Stand for long shifts and work in hot or cold temperatures.
• Able to multi-task, be punctual and maintain good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Use a scissor lift to obtain samples from bulk hopper trailers.
• Open hopper doors and unload by swinging a mallet to loosen product.
• Operate front-end loader to move product to mixer and bays.
• Load bulk hopper trailers and super sacks using the load-out system.
• Monitor processing equipment and product flow for issues.
• Inspect inbound/outbound loads on bulk hopper trailers.
• Collect samples and transport to the lab for analyses.
• Complete paperwork for trailer inspections and product movements.
• Sweep floors and clean equipment with compressed air and tools.
• Apply labels to super sacks and load/unload covered rail cars.
• Maintain safety training and follow cGMP/SOPs.
