Pilgrim’s is seeking a Protein Conversion Maintenance Mechanic to take on duties in the Maintenance Dept. The role involves operating and maintaining machines, supporting a proactive team, and learning other jobs within the department.

Applicants should be prepared to work varied shifts and travel as needed. The ideal candidate has mechanical, welding, and basic electrical skills, good communication, and the ability to work in cool environments and at heights.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields are preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
• Must be a team player and work close to others.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines in the Maintenance Dept.
• Be trained to perform other jobs in the department.
• Work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Possibly work different shifts including day, evening, or night.
• Be willing to travel to other locations for projects.
• May be required to obtain pipe certification in welding.
• Complete administrative duties and records (PMs, logs).
• Support a proactive maintenance team.
