Job summary

MS Bioworks in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Research Assistant to join our contract protein mass spectrometry lab. You will prepare protein samples for routine workflows in a fast-paced team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include sample preparation for MS proteomics, inventory management, equipment calibration, and developing SOPs. Required BS in biological sciences or chemistry and 3+ years lab experience, with SDS-PAGE experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Biological Sciences or Chemistry.
• 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with SDS-PAGE.
• Experience working within small technically orientated teams.
• Strong work ethic, organization skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare protein samples for mass spectrometry analysis.
• Oversee laboratory supplies inventory and sample archive.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Develop and optimize standard operating procedures for workflows.
