Job summary

Marlabs is seeking a Computational Biology MLOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on building and scaling ML infrastructure for in silico protein design and engineering. You will work at the intersection of AI research and production systems, partnering with computational scientists and platform engineers to accelerate research velocity.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, orchestration, distributed training, and data engineering across biological data sources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software eng / DevOps / data eng / ML eng roles, with 3+ years in MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale ML infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Orchestrate compute across Kubernetes clusters and HPC environments (SLURM) for large-scale training.
• Develop robust data pipelines delivering ML-ready datasets from biological sources such as PDB/mmCIF files and sequence databases.
• Create tools to accelerate protein language models and other generative approaches.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and cost efficiency of production ML systems.
