Job summary

State of Vermont seeks a Force Protection Officer to provide protective services to Vermont Army National Guard assets in Colchester. You will work with a team, wear uniform and body armor, and handle secure and sensitive information under regulated protocols.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, 1+ year security experience, and complete required law enforcement training or military qualifications. A valid Vermont driver's license and later clearance steps are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of experience in security or law enforcement.
• Completion of a law enforcement, corrections, security, technical school or police academy program.
• Current or past membership of a military organization (Active or Reserve/National Guard).
• Two years full-time college coursework in law enforcement/criminal justice/homeland security.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to the Vermont Army National Guard assets and personnel in Colchester.
• Work with a dedicated team and wear uniform and body armor.
• Possess and qualify with firearms during probation and obtain required licenses/clearances.
