## Description**Minimum Requirements:**To be considered for employment, you must meet the following criteria:* **Experience**: At least **two years** of **armed**security, law enforcement, or military service.* **Certification**: A valid **State of Ohio OPOTA 20-hour firearms training certificate**is required. + If you do not currently possess this certification, please refer to the attached document for instructions on how to obtain it. + Note: This training must be completed **at your own expense** prior to proceeding. + Must be 21 years of age + Must be citizen of the United States of America + Must complete (sign/date) a Lautenberg Amendment Statement/Domestic Violence certification annually**Important Information About Our Hiring Process:*** AEPS is **not a typical security company**. Our hiring process is comprehensive and may take **6 to 8 months**.* As a **Federal contractor**, all candidates must pass a **government background check**, which can take **1 to 6 months**. + Employment cannot begin until this check is successfully completed.* Upon clearance, candidates must complete a **physical exam**, including an **agility test**.* All new hires are required to complete the following **in-house training**: + **36 hours** of classroom instruction + **4 hours** of OC/BAT training + **4 hours** of CPR certification + **32 hours** of firearms training and qualification## QualificationsEducation Requirements * High School Diploma or GED**All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.**
