Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) protects White House complex, VP residence, and designated facilities, performing protective assignments and travel in support of heads of state missions.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 20, with a valid driver's license and REAL ID, undergo drug testing, and complete weeks of intensive training at FLETC and the Rowley Training Center. A Top-Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license and REAL ID compliance.
• Must be at least 20 years old at application and up to 40th birthday in reference to eligibility.
• Subject to drug testing and random drug testing.
• Must be able to carry and use a firearm and maintain proficiency.
• Complete extensive training at FLETC and J. Rowley Training Center.
• Register with the Selective Service System or be exempt.

Responsibilities

• Protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees, including the White House and other designated sites.
• Provide security for presidential, vice-presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
• Travel in support of official duties and enforce mandated protective responsibilities.
