Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a Protection Engineer to deliver power system protection studies, relay settings, short circuit analysis, and system model development, plus mentoring junior engineers.

Requires a BSEE or equivalent, 5+ years in protection engineering, SEL Relay Setting experience, and ASPEN OneLiner or PSSE CAPE proficiency. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; occasional travel may be required. ECI offers a benefits-rich environment.

Qualifications

• Must have BSEE or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of protection engineering experience.
• SEL Relay Setting experience required.
• Experience with ASPEN OneLiner or PSSE CAPE.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to meet fast-paced project schedules; P.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide power system protection services including model development and short circuit analysis.
• Develop relay settings and coordinate protection schemes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through training and reviews.
