Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is looking for a Relay Tech / Transmission or Distribution, Protection and Controls (P&C) Technician based in Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience in electrical testing, with a focus on protection and control equipment, as well as RTU’s and telecom. A relevant degree or technical school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in electrical testing with a focus on protection and control.
• Experience with transmission and distribution relays.
• Capable of interpreting electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work in changing outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relay equipment.
• Perform functional testing on transmission line circuitries.
• Upgrade RTU and telecom for clients.
• Document and submit test reports accurately.
