Job summary

The James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks a full-time faculty member in the Department of Reconstructive & Rehabilitation Sciences to teach pre-doctoral students in fixed and removable prosthodontics.

Preferred candidates are prosthodontists or general dentists with AEGD/GPR training and experience in removable prosthodontics; responsibilities include classroom and clinical instruction and potential implant prosthodontics and the AEGD

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required.
• Graduate of an AEGD/GPR program or general dentist with removable prosthodontics experience.
• Experience in educational innovation and use of technology in education preferred.
• South Carolina Dental License or eligibility for teaching license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral dental students in fixed and removable prosthodontics.
• Potentially teach implant prosthodontics and contribute to the AEGD residency program.
• Collaborate with all disciplines within the department and with other departments in the CDM.
• Participate in the Dental Faculty Practice for private patient care as applicable.
