Job summary

Envision Dental Implant Center in Asheville, NC seeks a Prosthodontic Assistant to support the Prosthodontist and dental team. You will prepare equipment, position patients, pass instruments, and assist during procedures, including x-rays and impression taking.

The role requires prior dental assisting experience, DANB certification, and NC x-ray certification. You will work closely with dentists and staff to ensure efficient patient care and treatment plan execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of DANB certified dental assistant exam or complete within 2 years of hire date.
• Two years of Dental Assistant experience.
• NC dental x-ray certification or obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Works under a dentist's supervision to prepare equipment and patients for procedures.
• Provides chair-side assistance during dental procedures and passes instruments as needed.
• Prepares materials for impressions and restorations; takes dental x-rays and processes film as directed by a dentist.
• Supports dental and surgical assistants; cleans trays, sets up rooms, and cleans up after procedures.
• Sterilizes and disinfects instruments; prepares trays for procedures; educates patients on post-op care.
• Ensures patient comfort in the chair and obtains dental records.
