Qualifications

  • Clinical expertise in Orthotics and Prosthetics, with ability to design, fit, and adjust custom devices.
  • Knowledge of Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery principles relevant to orthotic and prosthetic care.
  • Proficiency in Gait Analysis and functional assessment to support device selection and outcome evaluation.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (e.g., ABC or BOC) and compliance with applicable state licensure requirements.
  • Experience in patient-centered care, including strong communication, empathy, and counseling skills across diverse populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment and manage a varied caseload.
  • Strong problem-solving, manual dexterity, and attention to detail in fabrication, modification, and device safety.
  • Relevant degree in orthotics and prosthetics or a related healthcare field; ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Has reliable transportation and driver's license in good standing. Understands majority patients will be seen at facilities, hospitals and at their homes requiring daily travel for this role. Company will provide some compensation for travel expenses.

Role Description

This is a full-time Prosthetist Orthotist role based in New Jersey, United States. The Prosthetist Orthotist will assess patients’ functional needs, perform clinical evaluations, and conduct gait analysis to determine appropriate orthotic and prosthetic interventions. Daily responsibilities include designing, fabricating, fitting, and adjusting custom devices, as well as educating patients and caregivers on proper use, care, and safety. The role involves collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure continuity of care. The Prosthetist Orthotist will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, follow relevant regulatory standards, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.
