Job summary

AIMS Locum Tenens seeks a Prosthetist to fabricate, repair, and fit prosthetic and orthopedic devices at the Center for the Intrepid, BAMC, Texas. The role involves clinical fabrication, patient interaction, and precise testing under military facility standards.

Candidates must complete an NCOPE-accredited residency, hold ABC certification and BLS, and have at least 2 years of recent prosthetist experience. U.S. citizenship is required; schedule is Monday–Friday with ~40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Completion of a clinical residency program recognized by the NCOPE.
• ABC certification in Prosthetics & Orthotics plus required BLS.
• Minimum 2 years of prosthetist experience in the last 3 years.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, and repair artificial limbs and other prosthetic devices.
• Read prescriptions and determine materials and tools.
• Measure, shape, assemble, and fit device components.
• Test movement, alignment, and biomechanical stability of devices.
• Maintain patient treatment records per facility requirements.
• Work in a specialized military rehabilitation environment.
