The Advancement Strategies and Technology Innovation (ASTI)department is focused on finding the solutions for foundationalissues that will best position UO Advancement to achieve its goalsaround engagement and fundraising. The department has a uniquefunction in that it is based in UO Advancement, but also has strongworking partnerships with The Office of Development as part ofUniversity Advancement has a mission to maximize philanthropicimpact at the University of Oregon. We do this by identifying,connecting and engaging alumni and friends around the globe withtheir passions to advance the vision and priorities of theuniversity.
Prospect Development is responsible for the implementation of theprospect management system and for the identification of prospects,strategic prospect review and providing intelligence for thepurpose of aiding development officers in optimizing portfolios andfundraising to their highest capacity. This department's work iscritical to the future success of fundraising at the University ofOregon and the Advancement initiative to identify the nextgeneration of philanthropic leaders. Prospect Developmentcollaborates with each development team and the department as awhole to promote a systematic and quantifiable framework throughwhich development staff manage relationships and to analyze andidentify prospects and related strategies.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Prospect Development, the Prospect Management Analyst audits and tracks prospect recordswhile maintaining data integrity throughout the pipeline. Using a comprehensive knowledge of the Prospect Management System, this position reviews and revises policies, procedures, and reports, andengages key stakeholders in discussions and system review. Inaddition, this position conducts analytics and produces reports onprospect management data that provide essential information todevelopment leadership and stakeholders about developmentactivities and fundraiser performance.
With a customer service focus, the Prospect Management Analystcommunicates, provides information, and strategizes with frontlinefundraisers and their assistants on a regular basis. This positionprovides hands-on instruction for data input and informationretrieval and plays an integral role in training fundraisers andAdvancement staff on Prospect Management System policies.
The ideal candidate for this position will develop an in-depthknowledge of University Advancement's donor database system thatallows them to maintain data integrity by auditing their own workand that of colleagues. This position provides key services toconstituents within the department and uses data visualization andanalysis to provide information that informs department strategiesand metrics. The Prospect Management Analyst should be able to workcollaboratively, think independently, and work effectively with avariety of constituents and stakeholders. A PM Analyst that wouldthrive in this position is one who is detail oriented, enjoysworking with large datasets, and can find patterns and impactswithin the data to formulate a story of information.
