Responsibilities

• Prepare cases for arraignment and respond to defense motions.
• Conduct interviews of witnesses and victims; evaluate case strengths and weaknesses.
• Perform legal research and plea negotiations; conduct pre-trial conferences and jury selection.
• Try cases before juries or judges; review warrants and present to court; maintain liaison with law enforcement.
