Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer to join our propulsion manufacturing team. You will own end-of-line static-fire test operations, build new test equipment, and troubleshoot existing systems to drive production milestones.

You will develop test stands, instrumentations, and procedures for production technicians and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to ensure robust engine testing. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace or similar.
• 5+ years in gas turbine, aerospace test engineering, or rocket propulsion.
• Experience designing, building and qualifying test equipment.
• Experience with instrumentation types, selection and data acquisition.
• Familiarity with test planning, readiness reviews, P&IDs and test documentation.
• Engineering programming in Python, Matlab or similar.
• Experience with airbreathing or rocket propulsion testing.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware and test engineers.
• Must be a U.S. Person; willing to travel up to 50%; eligible for U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop test stands, instrumentation packages and equipment for production engine tests.
• Own static-fire production testing operations end-to-end.
• Design test procedures for production technicians to operate facilities.
• Develop system requirements and test campaigns for jet engine applications.
• Work with engine control systems including FADEC, ECU, starter-generators.
• Work with actuators, sensors, connectors and control system architecture.
• Test, diagnose and analyze engine data on stands, expeditions and flights.
• Lead data reviews and root-cause investigations.
