Job summary
A defense technology company situated in Santa Ana, CA is looking for a Propulsion Test Infrastructure Engineer to join its Propulsion Development team. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing engine test cells and developing test rigs for advanced propulsion systems. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience. The salary range is competitive, between $129,000 and $171,000, alongside comprehensive healthcare benefits and significant professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with gas turbine engines, rockets, or internal combustion engines.
- U.S. Person status required to access export-controlled data.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of engine test cells.
- Develop test rigs to mature propulsion subsystems.
- Collaborate with EHS and Facilities teams to identify locations for test cells.
Skills
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience in developing test cells for propulsion systems
CAD design (NX or Solidworks)
Understanding manufacturing methods
Education
BS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
