Varda Space Industries, Inc. is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II - Ground Fluids to own end-to-end ground fluid systems, from architecture to live flight operations. You will lead propellant loading campaigns across multiple sites, shape processes, and drive safety and mission readiness.

You will mentor engineers, author standards, and collaborate in cross-functional reviews to ensure flight readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years in propulsion fluid system design, build, test for spacecraft/launch vehicles.
• Familiar with P&IDs and fluid system hardware components.
• Experience authoring operational procedures for ground tests or flight campaigns.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and PLM software.

Responsibilities

• Own ground fluids systems end-to-end: architecture, P&IDs, mechanical design, fabrication, and operations across vehicle programs.
• Lead propellant loading campaigns across facilities while maintaining safety and mission readiness.
• Define and improve propellant handling processes to meet flight specifications and reliability.
• Drive the ground fluids roadmap by identifying gaps and prioritizing investments.
• Author and maintain technical standards, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and serve as the primary technical reviewer for ground fluids.
