Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Propulsion Engineering Supervisor in Adelanto to lead propulsion engineering challenges in a fast-paced R&D environment.

You will guide design staff, drive complex technical objectives, and ensure successful project execution through SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR milestones. The role requires directing engineering teams, presenting technical results, and interfacing with contracts and external customers while working within DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering from an accredited institution with progressive experience.
• 6+ years with a bachelor's, 4+ with a master's, or 2+ with a PhD; equivalent experience accepted.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for interface across departments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical directions to design and engineering staff.
• Lead a team of engineers to resolve complex propulsion problems.
• Produce statements of work and schedules; manage design gates SRR to TRR.
• Document findings and present results to customers and internal teams.
• Represent the organization on contracts or single-component projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with laws and procedures.
