Impulse Space, Inc. is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to own propulsion design across the full lifecycle, from propellant selection to integration with structures, avionics, and software. You will work with a fast-paced team to develop high-performance spacecraft from concept to operation.

You will apply fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, and mechanics, using CAD tools (Siemens NX) and Python, and contribute to trade studies and test campaigns to ensure reliability and performance.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required.
2+ years of hands-on engineering experience or equivalent.
Proficiency in CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
Experience with Python or other programming languages.
Fundamental understanding of fluids, thermodynamics, and mechanics.

Mansioni

Own propulsion systems across the full product lifecycle including propellant, pressurization, engine feed, pneumatic, ignition, and attitude control systems.
Design and maintain propulsion system schematics and conduct trade studies.
Create CAD models and drawings for fluid and mechanical systems; collaborate across teams for integration.
Plan and execute component- and system-level test campaigns with data review and anomaly resolution.
Collaborate with structures, avionics, software, production, and test to ensure hardware performance.
