Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to own Raptor chamber and nozzle hardware, spanning production, test, launch, and reuse. You will work with the product team on sea level or vacuum configurations and collaborate with technicians, analysts, and manufacturing engineers.

This hands-on role offers technical ownership, involvement in hot-fire operations with Texas teams, and opportunities to drive upgrades that reduce mass and cost while improving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, or PM experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Own Raptor chamber and nozzle hardware including parts and assemblies.
• Collaborate with technicians and manufacturing engineers to streamline processes.
• Interface with Texas teams for hot fire operations and reviews.
• Review designs and analyses for operating requirements and history.
• Own anomaly investigations and drive to closure with relevant teams.
• Work with designers and engineers to release block upgrades for mass, cost, and reliability improvements.
