Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 4+ years in design proposals or equivalent experience.
• Strong proposal and presentation strategy development and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures and tooling.
• Proficiency with Creative Cloud (InDesign) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
• Able to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with teams.
• Excellent writing skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist III to support transportation business line proposals. Working closely with the West transportation marketing team, business operations, and support staff, this role will provide leadership, compliance oversight, skilled writing, and creative support for high-priority pursuits across the West. Responsibilities include leading major proposals and presentations from pre-RFP positioning through interviews, as needed.

This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office work schedules, that can be based in, but not limited to:Denver, CO and the Western Region.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Interfaces with the business line growth team and operations to support the process of winning work. Leads responses to client RFI/RFQ/RFPs and applies standard pursuit processes to ensure efficiency in schedule and bid compliance. Responsible for print, electronic and oral proposal deliverables. Provides market research and competitive intelligence and leverages data systems and tools to support proposal strategy and business strategic planning efforts.

Job Summary

• Demonstrates substantial expertise as a marketing and proposal management generalist or specialist.
• Leading a variety of proposals and presentations from pre-RFP positioning through to interview stage, as required. Participate in go/no-go and green light analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposals.
• Interfaces with technical and BD staff to develop submittals and materials to win new contracts for the company, and to manage the information infrastructure that enables the business to do so efficiently.
• Provides leadership and direction to pursuit teams for proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content planning, messaging and production. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
• Provides document design, while ensuring RFP instructions and internal brand guidelines pertaining to format, fonts, etc. are being followed.
• Participates in go/no-go and green light analyses, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.
• Facilitates pink and red team, quality reviews, and applies lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams. Writes and edits tailored resumes and past performance sections for proposals. Provides grammatical and technical editing to ensure quality.
• Supports special projects, as required.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak proposal periods when necessary

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree and 4+ years of relevant experience managing design proposals, in particular winning work for facility design-bid-build and design-build pursuits or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation strategy development and compliance and writing and production.
• A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
• A strong working knowledge of the Creative Cloud Suite including InDesign as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
• Excellent writing skills, with an aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials
