Job summary

The Office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting Appraisal Technicians to support State Board of Equalization certified appraisers with real and personal property valuations. The role involves verifying owner information, measuring structures, drawing scale plans, and gathering data for assessments.

Promotional opportunities exist and the eligible list will fill current and future vacancies across the County. A valid CA driver’s license and travel requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements must be met as outlined in the options.
• Option 1 requires transcripts attached if no degree.
• Option 1 coursework must be completed at accredited college/university. Education outside US must be evaluated.

Responsibilities

• Verify and process information submitted by property owners.
• Measure structures and make scale drawings.
• Provide information on valuations and property data.
• Assist appraisers with tax assessment appraisals of real property and business/personal property.
• Gathers property value data for assessments.
