Job summary

Habitat America is seeking an experienced, professional full-time Community Manager in Baltimore City for 22 Light St and Flamingo Place Apartments. The role requires 3+ years of affordable housing property management experience and preferred Tax Credit Certifications.

The ideal candidate will oversee operations, reporting, and regulatory compliance while delivering strong customer service and staff supervision. Health, dental, and 401k benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of property management experience as a Community Manager.
• Tax Credit Certifications or similar industry certifications preferred.
• Experience with reviewing monthly operating statements, budgets, variances, and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise property staff and manage daily operations.
• Create and execute Resident Social Programs to engage tenants.
• Produce reports and monthly financials with accuracy and timeliness.
• Certify and recertify resident income per regulatory guidelines where applicable.
• Review and monitor operating performance to ensure budget adherence and bottom-line results.

Habitat America, a expanding property management company, seeks an experienced, professional full-time affordable housing Community Manager in Baltimore City for 22 Light St and Flamingo Place Apartments. This role is responsible for both communities.

The Property Manager is the face of any property and therefore it is imperative that candidates are trustworthy, have excellent customer service skills, written and oral communications skills and an attention to detail. To be considered for this position, candidates must have least 3+ years of prior property management experience as a Community Manager. Tax Credit Certifications or other like industry certifications are preferred.

• 3+ years' experience as an affordable housing property manager
• Tax Credit certifications are preferred
• Familiarity with tax credit program is a plus
• Must have excellent communications skills and customer service skills
• Must be able to work independently, and still be able to take directions given.
• Yardi software experience is a plus!
• Experience with reviewing monthly operating statements for accuracy, budget to actual variances and bottom line cash flow control.
• Ability to produce reports and monthly financials in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Experience with certifying and re-certifying resident income in strict adherence to agency regulations, where applicable.
• Experience with creating and executing Resident Social Programs
• Experience with supervising employees
