Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building interiors, exteriors, grounds, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support maintenance operations across the property.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making ready units for leasing, managing materials, documenting requests, and assisting with grounds upkeep.

Qualifications

  • EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal required for Certified Service Technicians.
  • All required certifications as mandated by state and local jurisdictions.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy, procedure, safety standards, and code.
  • Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-in inspections and scheduling needed repairs.
  • Tracks inventory, secures supplies, and notifies maintenance supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
  • Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
  • Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
  • Supports cost-cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing them when possible and using tools correctly.
