Job summary

COCM in Auburn, WA is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to oversee multiple facets of facility maintenance, renovation, and repair under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will participate in after-hours on-call rotations, respond to service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with safety inspections and contractor coordination to keep campus housing assets in top condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of general maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
• Possess strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to maintenance requests promptly.
• Identify facilities deficiencies and recommend remedies.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations for emergencies.
• Overtime as needed.
• Escort contractors on-site.
• Assist with room setups, Health & Safety inspections, and furniture movement.
• Inspect vacated units and perform repairs.
• Conduct daily inspections and report findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
• Submit requests for materials and supplies.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor on progress and issues.
• Demonstrate workmanship and professionalism.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $27.00-$29.00 per hour andcompetitive benefits package

Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, renovation, and repair. The Property Maintenance Technician serves on a maintenance on-call rotation assisting with after-hours maintenance emergencies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responds to all maintenance requests/calls within a reasonable timeframe.
• Identify facilities deficiencies and recommend remedies.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call response rotation for emergency and/or weather-related situations.
• Works mandatory overtime as needed.
• Provides escorts to contractors on-site.
• Assists with room set-ups, Health & Safety Inspections and furniture movement.
• Perform inspections and make necessary repairs when units are vacated.
• Conducts daily general inspections of the assigned building(s) and reports findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs preventative maintenance assignments on time.
• Submits requests for proper material/supplies to complete repairs.
• Consult with Maintenance Supervisor daily on the progress and impending issues.
• Displays knowledge, skills, and quality workmanship always.
• Other duties as assigned.
