Job summary

Tailwind Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician to preserve and enhance the value of a garden-style student housing property. You will focus on preventative upkeep, capital improvements, and repairs while delivering excellent service to residents and upholding property reputation.

The role requires following a standard schedule (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm) with occasional nights/weekends based on business needs; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in building maintenance; student housing experience is a plus.
• Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residential sites, buildings, clubhouse, amenities, and common areas for curb appeal and cleanliness.
• Review, assign and follow-up on open work orders within company guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and community members.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and observe work by independent contractors for quality service.
• Respond to after-hour emergency issues.
• Develop a preventative maintenance program to minimize costs to owner.
• Assist with inventory management of vehicles, machinery, and tools.
• Assist with annual unit turnover and move-in/move-out procedures.
