Flexible scheduling and home-based administration are supported. You’ll complete underwriting surveys and reports to support risk evaluation, while maintaining accuracy and reliability in every assessment.

Information Providers, Inc. is hiring a part-time 1099 Property Inspection Specialist in Summerville, SC. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who enjoy working independently, traveling throughout their local territory, and contributing to accurate property evaluations. You'll have the flexibility to manage your schedule while conducting inspections in your assigned area.

PAY: $20–$28 per billable hour

THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR PROPERTY INSPECTION SPECIALIST

THE SCHEDULE:

Field Operating Hours: Normal operating hours are from 8:00AM until 8:00PM, or dusk, whichever is earlier, Monday through Saturday. Unless requested by the policyholder or resident no surveys (or phone contact) will be completed after 8:00PM or on Sundays or Holidays. You will dispatch daily from home with no central office reporting required.

YOUR ROLE:

As our Property Inspection Specialist, you'll document property features, take clear and accurate photographs, and identify any visible hazards or underwriting concerns. After completing your inspections, you'll prepare detailed underwriting survey reports that provide essential information for risk evaluation. Your work will ensure accuracy and reliability in every assessment, making you an important part of the overall underwriting process.

Qualifications for Success

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working independently, takes pride in producing accurate work, and is comfortable balancing field inspections with administrative responsibilities.

You may be an excellent fit if you have experience in:

• Insurance inspections
• Real estate or property valuation
• Home inspections
• Claims adjusting
• Construction trades or commercial contracting
• Loss control or risk management
• First responder or emergency response roles

In addition, successful candidates will have:

• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to inspection locations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail when measuring, documenting, and reporting property information.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows-based computers, smartphones, and related technology.
• The ability to work independently while remaining accountable for quality and productivity.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• The ability to work outdoors and complete administrative responsibilities from a remote work environment.
