Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized research of records, data collection, and verification, and prepares reports in direct support of appraisal activities.
• Updates databases, spreadsheets, logs, maps and drawings using CAD and other application software.
• Conducts field work by measuring structures and drafting rough drawings; updates appraisal records.
• Reviews property tax value information for accuracy and uniformity and updates tax roll valuations.
• Verifies valuation of property and responds to questions from the public regarding property values and taxes.
• Provides assistance to the public regarding values and assessment process.
• May lead and train other paraprofessional or clerical staff.
