Job summary

CSM Corporation in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of residential and lodging properties, including accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.

You will prepare monthly close, support budgeting and forecasting, partner with stakeholders, and seek process improvements while maintaining internal controls and high-quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar degree.
• Minimum 1-3 years related accounting experience handling complex issues and problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheets and P&L; ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and reconcile year-end work papers for tax/audits; assist forecasts and budgets.
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure SOP compliance and assist new users.
• Ensure GAAP compliance in journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and processes for efficiency.
• Maintain relationships with Corporate, Field and Accounting teams for reporting needs.
