Job summary

ProPivotal in Needham, MA is seeking a Property Accountant to join a growing real estate team. The role combines onsite duties with a hybrid schedule, offering a competitive salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus a 10% bonus and clear opportunities for professional growth.

You will manage monthly rent and performance reporting across a diverse portfolio, perform reconciliations, and support audits while maintaining accurate ledger activity and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of residential property management accounting experience.
• Experience with Yardi software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Record monthly gross potential rents, vacancy, and loss/gain to lease.
• Reconcile cash, receivables, prepaids, payables, and accrued expenses monthly.
• Recalculate and adjust management fees as needed.
• Ensure timely payment of mortgage and real estate taxes.
• Maintain recurring payables and journal entries for each property.
• Review general ledger activity and prepare periodic reporting packages.
• Support external audit process and prepare workpapers.
