Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Bloomington, IN to lead core accounting functions and ensure GAAP compliance. You will manage cash, payroll, AP/AR, and intercompany activities while coordinating month-, quarter-, and year-end closes.

The role involves preparing financial statements, schedules, and tax filings, with collaboration across leadership. Strong Excel and software skills, plus a background in tech or PE-related fields, is favored.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics required.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate development, private equity, or investment banking preferred.
• Experience with tech, software, or semiconductors is a bonus.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions including cash management, payroll accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Perform month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and quarterly reporting schedules.
• Prepare consolidated trial balances, financial statements, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Record intercompany transactions, confirm balances, coordinate information with intercompany counterparts, and process quarterly cash settlements.
• Prepare ad hoc IRS filings, business and property tax filings, and governmental data surveys.
• Ensure timely submissions to local and federal agencies.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, guidelines, and internal controls.
• Support the Director of Accounting and other operational leaders.
• Perform ad hoc projects.
