Job summary

Accountants One, Inc. is partnering with a well-established Real Estate client in Metro Atlanta to recruit a Property Accountant.

This role will groom a candidate toward becoming a senior property accountant within a stable company culture that supports growth. The Property Accountant will manage monthly financial statements for multiple properties, perform journal entries and reconciliations, and support CAM reconciliations, real estate taxes, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required.
• Must have 2 years of real estate accounting experience.
• Stable work history; no job hoppers.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting for multiple properties with monthly financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Perform CAM reconciliations and real estate tax work.
• Assist with annual budgets and reforecasting.
• Manage A/R and A/P and collaborate with property managers on A/R issues and collections.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual paperwork.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.

The Property Accountant will handle the following:

• Handle the accounting for multiple properties with financial statements monthly, along with journal entries, reconciliations, cash flow, etc.…
• CAM reconciliations and real estate taxes
• Involved with annual budgets and reforecasting
• A/R, A/P, work closely with the property managers on any A/R issues and rec
• Work closely with internal and external auditors for annual paperwork
• Any special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Must have 2 years of real estate accounting experience
• Stable work history; no job hoppers
• ERP system experience such as Yardi, MRI, Entrada
• Advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail, deadline-driven, well-written communication skills, and a passion for the real estate industry
