Job summary

Kiva United Energy in Portland, ME is seeking a Transport Driver to safely load, haul and deliver LPG/propane to customers within scheduled windows. You will operate a tractor-trailer tanker, perform pre-trip inspections, and provide courteous service while maintaining accurate records.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with HAZMAT, Air Brake and Tanker endorsements, TWIC, ability to drive manual transmission, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of delivering LPG/Propane/Hazmat experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL with HAZMAT, Air Brake and Tanker Endorsements.
• Current TWIC card.
• Must be able to drive a Manual Transmission.
• Must provide a medical certificate.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Must provide current MVR.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US; we will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Delivers LPG (propane) safely and timely while operating a tractor-trailer tanker.
• Performs safe loading/unloading of products using LPG hoses.
• Provides courteous and professional customer service.
• Inspects vehicles for mechanical issues and performs preventative maintenance.
• Complies with DOT rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Replenishes fuel, cleans truck, washes windows.
• Completes Bills of Lading accurately and completely.
• Reports mechanical problems to Transportation Manager.
• Maintains an hours-of-service log using ELD.
• Monitors traffic and incidents affecting schedule and reports to supervisor.
• Roles may be Home Based or Over-The-Road depending on service area.
• Adapts to safety concerns and maintenance issues as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
