Job description

Role Overview:

As a Propane Technician, you will be the front‑line expert for our residential and commercial customers. You will handle everything from setting tanks and running gas lines to diagnosing and repairing propane appliances. We are looking for a safety‑conscious professional who takes pride in high‑quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

• Repair and Maintain: Troubleshoot, and maintain propane appliances, including furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and tank systems.
• Safety Inspections: Perform rigorous safety checks, including leak tests and pressure tests, in accordance with NFPA 54 and 58 standards.
• System Diagnostics: Use specialized gauges and meters to diagnose equipment failures and recommend efficient solutions to customers.
• Emergency Response: Participate in on‑call schedule to handle emergency leak reports or no‑heat calls.
• Tank Maintenance: Set above‑ground and underground tanks, run gas lines, and ensure all installations meet local and state codes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certifications: VT/NH Propane Certification, Hazmat and tanker endorsements, and Medical card.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record. A Class B CDL with tanker endorsement is a plus, but not required.
• Experience: 2 Plus years of experience in HVAC or fuel service.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in tight spaces (crawlspaces/basements), and operate in various outdoor weather conditions.
