Job summary

Lakes Gas in Northfield, MN seeks a Class B CDL driver for a local route, home every night. You will deliver propane and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-class customer service.

Candidates must have a valid Class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements (or be able to obtain them) and a DOT medical card. Outdoor work, safety focus, and equipment maintenance are part of the role.

Qualifications

Job Duties

This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first in class customer service. CDL candidates must possess a minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) and must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card. CDL candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude and good driving skills. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions. Additional duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities.

Minimum Education Required

• Must have a valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
• Must have a clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
• Must be able to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Must be able to maintain compliance with all DOT requirements
