Job summary

NEW Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a propane delivery driver in Red Oak, IA. You will deliver bulk propane, connect and maintain equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

This role requires a Class B CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, strong safety mindset, and excellent communication with customers and team. You’ll work flexible hours during peak season and contribute to accurate documentation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class B CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of organization.
• Possesses problem solving capability and understand the operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bulk propane orders safely and in accordance with regulations.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and perform maintenance as needed.
• Deliver, connect, and maintain petroleum equipment.
• Respond to after-hours calls from team members when appropriate.
• Works extended hours as requested to ensure good customer service in busy season.
• Maintain electronic delivery records and tickets; complete driving logs accurately.
• Collaborate with energy salespeople to increase sales of petroleum and related products.
• Maintain cleanliness and good upkeep of work area, equipment, and vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; report unsafe conditions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and team; provide excellent customer service and problem-solving.
• Establish personal performance goals and continuously upgrade knowledge of the job.
