Job summary

Excel Propane is hiring a Propane Delivery Driver / Service Technician for our Fremont, Michigan location. This role involves outdoor work, driving a propane bobtail truck, and installing propane service for customers. CDL is welcome but not required, with CDL training provided if needed.

The position offers full-time year-round employment with a family-friendly schedule and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and retirement options after two years.

Qualifications

• A CDL is not required to apply, but welcomed. If you do not have a CDL, Excel Propane will help you obtain a Class BX CDL while you work.
• DOT physical and Drug Test must be passed.
• HAZMAT background check must be passed.
• MVR and Criminal Background Check must be approved by the insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift 70+ lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: This role prioritizes helping customers and providing excellent service.
• Propane Delivery: Drive a propane delivery truck to refill customer tanks.
• Truck Maintenance: Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and help maintain the fleet.
• Propane Service: Install propane service at customer locations, including line installation and safety checks.
• Other duties: As a small business, responsibilities may include office tasks and upkeep.
