Lakes Gas is a family-owned propane provider serving the Midwest with 60+ locations. We are hiring a local Delivery Driver for a route that keeps you home every night.

A Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a DOT medical card are required, along with a clean driving record and safety-focused attitude. You will deliver propane, cylinders, and tanks to residential and commercial sites, provide top-notch customer service, and perform related maintenance tasks in all weather

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain) without air brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by FMVRS.
• Pass DOT physical and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Must read/write and clearly communicate in English.
• Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety conscious with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of maintenance needs.
• DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites.

This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first in class customer service. CDL candidates must possess a minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) and must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card. CDL candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude and good driving skills. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions. Additional duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pull delivery hose
• Must be able to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed
• Filling, loading, securing and delivering propane cylinders or bulk
