Lundy’s Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver to join the team. This role loads, transports and delivers propane cylinders to commercial customers using an exchange side load truck, with a focus on safety, efficiency and customer service.

Our drivers are committed to service, efficiency and safety and must meet DOT regulations, perform inspections, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsements required.
• Propane certification preferred but not required.
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years.
• 1+ years tanker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane cylinders to customers.
• Completes accurate logs and documentation for DOT compliance.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Maintains vehicle and reports maintenance needs.
• Adheres to safety, regulatory, and company policies.

Job Summary

Lundy’s Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver to join the team! This position is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering propane cylinders to our commercial customers using an exchange side load truck.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complies with all city, state, and federal regulations
• Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial locations
• Provides a high level of service to customers
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials
• Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
• Applies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to testing and transporting bulk petroleum products to pipeline injection points
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Cylinder Driver:

• Delivers cylinders of various sizes and picks up empty cylinders
• Delivered to all customers on a side load truck and unloading cylinders
• Performs all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations, in addition to all safety and operations policies and procedures while utilizing all personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications: Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Class A or B CDL license with hazmat endorsements required
• Propane certification (preferred but not required)
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years
• 1+ years tanker experience within the last 5 years preferred

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and records
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift.
• Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift
• Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night.
• Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
• Must be able to speak and hear
• Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider
• Must pass pre-employment screening
• Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
• Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles and gases is common.
