Locklins Bottled Gas Inc. is seeking a Propane Driver to safely and timely deliver propane to customers.

The role includes loading/unloading propane into bulk trucks and end-use containers while upholding the highest safety standards and conducting regular vehicle inspections. You will leverage available technology to monitor transfers, track inventory, prepare delivery tickets, and submit daily driver reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year propane experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification.
• Legally eligible to work in the US; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customers safely and on time, including loading and unloading into bulk trucks and end-use containers.
• Use technology to monitor transfers, track inventory, and print delivery tickets; complete daily driver reports.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly for guidance.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

A Propane driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers. The Propane driver will deliver, load and unload propane into the bulk truck and end use containers while providing exceptional customer service. A Propane Driver will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Collect customer signatures/stamps and payments for deposit if necessary. Offer customer brochures with basic price lists and a contact number. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Minimum of one (1) year job related (Propane) experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker & Hazmat Endorsement preferred
• Clean drivers abstract
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification
• Ability to rotate on call status during evenings and weekends as needed
