Willard, NC is seeking a dependable Nursery Propagation Specialist to join a propagation team at a 100-acre plant nursery. The role involves hands-on duties indoors and outdoors, aiding the propagation crew with plant care and general nursery tasks.

Ideal candidates are motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn; prior propagation experience is a plus but training is offered. Summer hours run 6:30am-3:00pm with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a dependable worker with nursery or plant-production exposure; training provided.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and lift/move flats and plants.
• Comfort with outdoor work in varying weather conditions and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist propagation crew with daily plant propagation activities.
• Use hand shears to trim and cut plant material; majority of the workday.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and maintain plants.
• Fill flats and containers with soil and growing media.
• Move and organize flats, trays, and plants throughout the nursery.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and assist with general nursery operations.
• Learn to operate tractors and other nursery equipment with training.
