Job summary

University of Delaware is hiring a Prop Shop Assistant for Fall 2026 in Newark, DE. The role is a student position with Work Study eligibility and flexible hours, supporting the Department of Theatre and Dance and UD’s Resident Ensemble Players.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Properties area duties for the Department of Theatre and Dance.
• Support Resident Ensemble Players and UD’s equity theatre company.
• Help with prop management, storage, and prep for productions.
• Utilize Airtable, Adobe Creative Suite or AutoCAD as assets when needed.

The position is open for Work Study eligible students. The Department of Theatre and Dance is seeking a responsible, motivated undergraduate student to assist with the Propertiesareaduties for the Department including the Resident Ensemble Players, UD’s professional equity theatre company. Hours are flexible and the atmosphere is relaxed. No previous theatre experience required, however, previous experience in technical theatre and/or knowledge of Airtable, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or AutoCAD would be an asset. Must possess valid driver’s license and be willing to drive cargo van locally.
