US Foods in Zebulon, NC is seeking a Non-CDL Driver I to join our delivery team on a part-time basis. You will safely drive a company vehicle, unload groceries with equipment or by hand, verify deliveries, and collect payments when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years.
  • Must pass DOT physical.
  • One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred or six months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times.
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection.

No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver’s license suspensions in the past three years. Must be able to pass DOT physical.* No commercial or professional driving experience required. One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred or six months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.* Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations* Hand cart delivery experience preferred.* Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.* Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
