You will support capital projects across the Rocky Mountain region, handling cost controls, forecasting, SAP work orders, and Primavera P6 scheduling, providing accurate, timely project data for decision making. The role collaborates with project managers to ensure budget alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project controls, planning, estimating, or construction/maintenance management.
• Experience with SAP and project financial/procurement processes.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or comparable project scheduling software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred.
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost and schedule controls for capital construction projects.
• Track, forecast, and report project costs against budget, including monthly updates.
• Manage SAP work orders, requisitions, purchase orders, contractor costs, and expenditures.

Our client, a leader in petroleum refining and energy, is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT.

You will support capital projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region by managing project cost controls, scheduling, forecasting, and financial tracking. This role will work closely with project managers to provide accurate and timely project data, with a primary focus on cost tracking and SAP and secondary responsibility for project scheduling through Primavera P6.

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits and potential for extension**
