Job summary

Sandis, based in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of surveying experience and a B.S. in a related field is preferred. You'll prepare staking calculations, create mapping deliverables, and work both in-office and in the field using advanced technology.

• Knowledgeable of AutoCAD Bluebeam, Pix4D, and Leica-based scanning software.
• Experience with survey equipment, such as GPS and Total Station.

• Creating mapping deliverables including boundary and topographic surveys.
• Post-processing field data collected using different survey technologies.
• Drafting aerial surveys from UAV.

What You’ll be doing:

• Preparing construction staking calculations by reading plans and interpreting CAD files.
• Creating mapping deliverables including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Post-processing field data collected via the total station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and unmanned aerial systems.
• Drafting aerial surveys from our UAV (Drone)
• Solve problems using exciting new technology.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of office surveying experience
• B.S. in a related field is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of AutoCAD Bluebeam, Pix4d and Leica-based scanning software
• Experience with survey equipment, such as GPS, Robotic, and Total Station
• Pursuing FAA Pilot License
• LSIT Preferred

Salary Information

$35 - $62.45 hourly wage
